Away From Home // The Alan Bell Project [Video Interview]

Capture
Alan’s Release Date

In March of 2014 we brought you a message from Alan Bell who at the time was an inmate at Columbia River Correctional Institution. We were working on a documentary on recidivism and the impact it has on the families of those locked away and the community as a whole.  The project is a work in progress but here’s a short clip where we combined Alan’s previous interview with one of his lady Becca recorded prior to his release.

Beast Mom // Short Film by Portland’s Johnny Ray Gill

If you’re not familiar with Portland native and Jefferson High School graduate Johnny Ray Gill this is as good a time as ever. He’s starred in hit shows like True Blood, Rectify and many more.

This is a short he wrote, directed and starred in about a phenomenon that those is the black community know too well. #BeastMom

Check out his portrayal of Kerwin Whitman, a deathrow inmate in Rectify. In my humble opinion he KILLED this role (no pun).
