In honor of Portland’s favorite festivities I want to pay homage to Robin Marks. She was the 1980 Rose Festival Queen and the first black woman to earn that honor.

Robin happens to be a family friend and I’d like to go on record as saying she’s still fine! 🙂 Congratulations Robin and thanks for being a Trail Blazer.
