The Blackout Exhibit at The Black Gallery // Installation Photos [Photography]

As many of you know, I had the honor of having my photo featured on the cover of Portland Mercury for the Blackout Issue. Now, curator Donovan Scribes has partnered with The Black Gallery to bring this work to life through an immersive art exhibit.
This show gives folks a chance to dive deeper into the magazine issue, and my original photos will help illuminate some of the powerful quotes from Black Portlanders featured in the magazine.
Here are a few behind-the-scenes shots from the installation process. Huge thanks to Donovan Scribes, The Black Gallery, Portland Mercury, Savina Monet, Lakayana Yotoma Drury, and Ronin Roc for including me in this incredible experience.
Who knew I could take decent pictures—but hanging them straight on a wall? That’s a whole different story 😅
In such a short time, I’ve learned so much from the amazing women of The Black Gallery. Thank you for your guidance and support.
Hope to see you at the opening on June 5 at 5 PM at The Black Gallery!
